The Coastal Commuinities Concert Band, under the directions of Mr. Don Caneva asked composer John Higgins to arrange a piece for concert band that would highlight some of the Big Band Signatures pieces - Let's Dance for Benny Goodman, Leap Frog for Les Brown, Woodchopper's Ball for Woody Herman, The Peanut Vendor for Stan Keaton, April in Paris for Count Basie, Caravan for Duke Ellington, and In the Mood for Glenn Miller. After a short introduction, this arrangement proceeds immediately into the signature pieces.
