A Special Rock |
It was a bright and shiny Tuesday afternoon, our first real day at Camp Hi-Hill, and Matthew and I were breaking rocks in the quarry. I broke open a dull white rock, and in the middle of it, it had a lustrous silver color to it. Matthew and I both said, "Tight!", as our eyes gazed at the brilliant color. "Looks like this rock has some value to it", Matt said. We showed our trail teacher, and he said it did look like a special rock. After camp was over, we took the rock to a rock specialist, and she told us it was worth over a hundred dollars. Matthew and I split the money and are still deciding what to do with it. |
